Music
At Lochaber Schools Pipe Band, we don't just march to the beat of our own drum (or should we say, bagpipe); we're all about playing a diverse range of tunes that make your toes tap.
Why, you ask? Well, it's all about building up our band members' repertoire and supercharging their solo performance abilities. While we have a soft spot for tradition, we've also embarked on a wild musical journey into the world of videos (yes, you read that right) – and we didn't forget the accompanying instruments!

Lockdown ProjectsChristmas TunesThis was the beginning of our venture into making videos. We had a very inexperienced band and wanted to keep momentum going over what proved to be a lengthy period without playing together.
My Home TownWe were delighted to make our first multi-instrumental video. We needed to keep ourselves invested and interested in creating music while in isolation and this was a perfect way to celebrate our beautiful Lochaber landscape.
Farquhar and Hettie's WaltzA very traditional and well-known Waltz written for two local legends. This is a very special tune to us and links very much to some of our former members. We were also delighted to have members of our Pipe Band Committee feature in this video - well done the dancers!

Other PerformancesDisneyLand Paris 2014This trip was a fantastic experience for all band members, not only did we perform as part of a Scottish concert in the Videopolis Auditorium, but we were the pre-parade through the streets of Disney!
Entering the circleThe band entering Cameron Square, Fort William, in one of our post-covid street performances - it was a miracle to have a band out at all and we were so proud of this very inexperienced group who had never been a part of a performance like this previously.
Exiting the circleThe band exiting the circle in a very dreich Lochaber evening. Well done to all our are pipers in this line-up!
